Vale Rex Baguley

It is with great sadness that I received news that our Warwick Hockey Association Patron, Rex Baguley, passed away on Saturday 24th August 2019.

Rex was a long term member of our Association and played a huge part in laying the foundation of where our Association is today. He was a very humble, quiet achiever and will be missed by many.

Rex played for Corinthians Club, represented Queensland as a Vets player, received a HQ Award of Merit, was the only Warwick person running in the Torch Relay for the 1956 Melbourne Olympic Games, carried the torch for the 2000 Olympics and just last year, carried the baton in the Queen's Baton Relay for the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.

He was an incredible man and a true gentleman.
